Happy St. Patrick's Day

For anyone who knows our family, you know that we love anything and everything GREEN!  March has to be the best month ever.  However this year, I have been totally off my game.  Between home, school, church, cupcakes and work I find that I have less and less time to do those little extra things I love.  Some days I feel like such a horrible mom who neglects her children.  I know the reality of that is untrue, but I would like to do so much more!

For our St. Patty's day celebrations, we had a simple green pasta salad with chicken, pesto and asparagus...the green noodles were a fun added touch.

Hidden clover cupcakes were our dessert.

Then Mr. Leprechaun visited our house during the night.  Besides using our toilet and blowing his nose (can you believe he left his green snotty tissue in our bathroom?!?) his footprints led us to a few other tricks.

He mummified Aubrey's baby...

...he played with all of Logan's toys...

...and he also hid Madyson's toothbrush!  Sheesh!

We decided next year we are going to set a trap for sure.  This was Logan's plan!
Think it will work?

Logan!

It has been a long day, but I would like to take a moment to personally thank the person(s) responsible for inventing the rainbow loom. I truly treasure the countless hours I spend picking up the colorful bands off of my floor...in every room of our home! I am especially thankful for the fact that while I gathered up about 1000 of them tonight, Logan capitalized on the fact that I was distracted and stuffed our toilet full of an entire package of pull-ups! On a positive note, when I removed the pull-ups there was no longer water in my toilet. Their acclaimed absorption rate appears to be spot on!

CTR Aprons

Not too long ago Aubrey's class in primary was in charge of sharing time.  They did a little lesson on 'Choosing the Right'.  Aubrey was so excited about her role that as soon as she got in the car she said, "Mom, I want Grandma to make me a CTR dress!"  With such short notice, Grandma did the next best thing and made Aubrey (and Madyson) CTR aprons.

Aubrey and her teacher, Sister Edvalson.

Aubrey did a fantastic job sharing a story about choosing the right!  I was really proud of her and love that she gets such great opportunities to speak in front of others.
